Explore
From a quick trail to a full day trip out of town.

Chautauqua
A historic park at the base of the Flatirons — trailheads, the Chautauqua Dining Hall, and Boulder's most iconic view, all in one place.

Pearl Street
The pedestrian mall that's Boulder's living room: shops, street performers, and most of downtown's restaurants in a four-block walk.

Hiking
Mount Sanitas and the Chautauqua trails are the classic quick hikes, both close to downtown. Work meetings and networking can and do happen while hiking in Boulder.

Art & Museums
The Museum of Boulder, the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA), and the CU Art Museum run exhibitions downtown and on campus.

Live music
The Fox Theatre is Boulder's main mid-size venue for touring acts, a short walk from Pearl Street. The Boulder Theater — a Sundance screening venue this January — runs music the rest of the year.

Day trip: Eldorado Canyon
World-class rock climbing walls and an easy scenic drive, about 20 minutes from downtown Boulder.

Day trip: Nederland
A small mountain town about 30 minutes up Boulder Canyon — worth it for the drive alone.

Day trip: Rocky Mountain National Park
About 1.5 hours from Boulder. A full-day trip, and check winter road conditions before you go.

Day trip: Denver
RTD's Flatiron Flyer makes a day in Denver an easy trip without a car.
